Trending up, but why?
So if you're like me, You have the style.com app on your Apple device and you scroll through the various shows when you're bored. Has anyone else noticed some seriously disturbing trends that are making their way up in the world? Like, Tweed and Plaid. I'm all for a good coat or a cute scarf, but an entire dress made from either of those is just a little bit disturbing.
We're also seeing a rise in the need for fur on the runway. I'm not against fur, animal advocate I'm not, but I am allergic to the stuff. Boo. I'm going faux this season. It's cheap, it's realistic, and it's not killing anything-namely me.
My favorite trend this season that I can see coming right out of left field is, you guessed it, Modesty. Like, whoa. I'm not sure where it came from, maybe it's cold in New York this season? Whatever the reason, I'm glad it's here and I'll try not to examine the mouth of a gift horse for too long. Long live the trend!
Onwards and upwards. I'm noticing a lot of heavy influence from the 50's and also the 90's.. Not sure how all that is going to work but you won't see me dying my hair pink any time soon. Now the pencil skirt? I've been doing that for years.
